Career Bio: Nathaniel is a leadership development professional and a chartered member of the CIPD. He is proud to be alumni of the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, one of the UK’s premier graduate programmes. Prior to his current role in leadership development, Nathaniel worked as an HR Business Partner where he gained his experience across both operational and strategic aspects of HR Management.
In his role as Leadership Development Manager, he is the regional lead for an award winning graduate fast track programme, as well as managing the regional OD and Talent Management network which are designed to build the capability of L&D professionals in the region. In 2014 Nathaniel will be leading on the development of a number of programmes and initiatives including Resilience, Crucial Conversations and Team & Health Coaching. Nathaniel is currently undertaking his ILM Level 7 in Executive Coaching and in 2014 will train to be an MBTI practitioner.
Career catastrophe: This has to be when I worked at parliament and I used to see David Cameron (before he was PM) cycling to Westminster. As he walked to portcullis house, I lost myself and upon seeing his cycling shorts said, “ooh, nice tighty whities Dave”. Fortunately I was walking away from him – I never turned back. I still cringe thinking about it!
